Mr. Deep Kapuria schooled at Mayo College, Ajmer and graduated in Engineering from BITS, Pillani. He is an alumnus of the Harvard Business School, USA. He has undergone specialized training in Management and Technology in USA, Germany, Japan & Austria.

Mr. Deep Kapuria is the Chairman of the The Hi-Tech Group of companies comprising The Hi-Tech Gears, The Hi-Tech Engineering Systems, Hi-Tech e-Soft, The Hi-Tech Robotic Systemz. The Group spans a spectrum of products and services that include transmission components, engineering design services and advanced technology enabled products & solutions at the forefront of cutting edge technology in the fields of Robotics, Artificial Intelligence, Vision and Embedded Systems. The Group primarily serves Automobile Manufacturers in the Indian subcontinent and renowned Tier-1 and 2 suppliers in the overseas markets.

The "Hi-Tech’s" facilities have been awarded the International Coveted “Shingo Award” which has been awarded for the first time in India. In addition, besides having International Management Systems, all the Plants are recognized for “Award for Excellence in Consistent TPM Commitment” by JIPM (Japan Institute of Plant Maintenance) for TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) Excellence. Has secured IGBC gold under IGBC green factory building rating system.

In the last two decades, Mr. Kapuria has held a number of eminent positions in Industry and Government bodies and associations and has played an important role in many Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) initiatives, such as the World Trade / Multilateral talks. Mr. Kapuria has led various overseas CII/ACMA Delegations including the Mini PBD (2011) at Canada. In addition, he has also been invited as speaker for number of CII / ACMA / Industry conventions, seminars across the globe. These include;

Nominated in Government/Industry Forums (CII/ACMA) - Nominated by the Industry to represent the annual Executive Session on Grand Challenges of the Sustainability Transition convened by the Sustainability Science Program at Harvard University, in cooperation with the Venice International University (VIU) and Italy’s Ministry for Environment; Chairman International Business (Exports), Automotive Mission Plan (2006-2016), Ministry of Heavy Industries (MoHI); Part of "Development Council" for Automotive under Ministry of Heavy Industries (MOHI) - (2004-05; 2002-03); C.A.R (Core Group on Automotive Research) Project – Under Dr. R. Chidambaram - Principle Scientific Advisor. Mr. Kapuria is also the Industry Nominee on DIPP, as a member of the Board of Approval for National Investment and Manufacturing zones (NIMZs)
